As usual, we’re still working out the kinks and the format, as we’re really new to this whole audio thing. Therefore, we expect and welcome any constructive feedback you might have. You can find this week’s episode:
Always Have Your Professional Profile On You With The Card
Posted on September 30, 2011 |
The Card ($ 0.99) by The App Lab, Inc. is a slick way to get your information out to new contacts that you may come across.
It seems that the dead tree business card is going the way of the dinosaur these days, and it’s hard to not see why. You have to carry a bunch of them around with you at all times, and they cost money for a big batch. Digital exchanging of information is the way to do it nowadays, and The Card is another fine app to get the job done.

Quirky App Of The Day: The Bad Calculator

BY Kathryn Zane on Fri September 30th, 2011 Entertainment Utilities
I remember having fun with calculators in elementary school (ok, through a lot of high school, too) with antics such as typing in 8,008 or programming friend’s graphing calculators to display curse words instead of errors. We had too much free time on our hands in physics class, and our graphic calculators were loaded with as many games as we could fit. So, I appreciate an app the just messes with people in calculator form without resorting to anatomy references or overriding a TI-83 without breaking its brain. The Bad Calculator, amply named, provides that entertainment.

When Apple unveils the iPhone 5/4S on Tuesday, it is expected to include a new voice feature using technology from Nuance and Siri. Today, MacRumors suggests this feature will be available exclusively on the new handset and not available on previous iPhone models through a software upgrade.
We’ve told you about Assistant before. In fact, we presented a thorough write-up on the subject earlier this week. Today’s news, however, is the first to suggest the feature will only be available on Apple’s newest iPhone. In other words, it won’t be available through the iOS 5 update for older handsets such as the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.
