We’ve heard a lot about the 200 new features that arrived with iOS 5. However, what you might not have known is that the latest iOS also comes with some graphic tweaks versus those in iOS 4. It’s Halloween. While some of us will be gorging ourselves with candy and treats, some others will be saving the day. Are they heroes in borderline-offensive tights and a cape? No. This particular humble servant of the people is armed only with a cannon against an onslaught of zombies. Zombies that are cute as a button, I might add. Standing alone in the aptly named app, A Pumpkin VS Zombies, a pumpkin stands between zombies and humanity.

Martian Miner Puts New Spin On Classic Game, Plus Win A Copy!
Posted on October 31, 2011 |
Martian Miner ($ 0.99) by Digital Leprechaun LLC has you exploding asteroids in search of Unexplainium.
This game is a new take on the classic arcade game, Asteroids. Instead of just destroying asteroids to clear them out of your way, the larger ones will provide a flashing star (Unexplainium). Collect the required stars in order to warp to the next level.
The two controls you’ll learn in the introduction are moving the ship (swiping it in the direction you want), and firing (tapping what you want to smite). Even though you’re firing missiles, the ship makes a chirpy “pew pew” sound.

Back in iOS 4, it was possible to zoom in the Camera app by double-tapping an iOS device’s screen. However, in iOS 5 Apple removed the feature, replacing it with pinch-to-zoom which, in all honesty, isn’t that practical. Now, a new jailbreak tweak called “ZoomIsBack!” brings iOS 4′s tap-to-zoom feature to iOS 5.
But that’s not all. The jailbreak package doesn’t replace pinch-to-zoom, meaning you can use both methods of zooming when in the Camera application.
